Artfulgrrly felt at home with the colourful exhibits of the Commonwealth Insititute now operating as the Design Museum in High Street Kensington. Alongside a mixed group of Notting Hill school children, she enjoyed a summer scheme tearing around the myriad of exhibits with ownership and abandon, always making time to stop and throw coins in with the koi carp at its bridged Asian pond entrance. It should be no surprise then that she runs her own garden design and maintenance company Juliette Lee Gardens.
Notting Hill Carnival costume galas were elaborately staged there and much time was spent in Mangrove Mas camps. She later went on to play in their steelband featuring in the documentary about the Panorama competition by Darcus Howe.
Her goal is to continue to pop up artists in a welcoming space to ensure flexible price options, she herself bought her first piece from Shiri Achu at the iconic Tabernacle in Powis Square.
